Essential Functions:
1. Assists Manufacturing Engineering in researching new equipment needs and plant layout changes.
2. Directs and coordinates maintenance requirements for all equipment and building functions. Schedules labor and
time requirements for smooth and efficient operation.
3. Establishes a preventive maintenance schedule on all shop equipment.
4. Assigns priorities or repair jobs to assure a smooth and efficient operation in meeting production requirements.
5. Oversees and supervises installation of new equipment as directed.
6. Maintains effective relationships with contractors as appropriate.
7. Requisitions the purchase of outside supplies for related maintenance areas.
8. Oversees Maintenance Department, to include personnel scheduling and work inspection.
9. Assumes the responsibility to make decisions independently and then, if necessary and/or appropriate, consult
the next level of personnel.
10. In conjunction with Human Resources, oversees the maintenance of appropriate levels of labor, the general
conformance with employee rules, the issuance of warnings, and the administration of disciplinary measures
when necessary. Participates in internal programs relating to communications, vacation schedules, job evaluation,
employee performance reviews, wage administration, etc., as required.
11. Develops and updates departmental policies and procedures.
12. Communicates employee concerns to management or to appropriate supervisors.
13. Responds to daily questions related to maintenance issues. Advises employees on resolving related problems.
14. Conducts meaningful performance reviews that provide subordinates with an understanding of their level of
performance, strengths and weaknesses, and an insight into future goals and opportunities.
15. Remains current with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical
and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed.
16. Participates in self-development training on and off the plant site.
17. Actively supports the Quality system and promotes the ISO 9001 processes.
18. Maintains standards of good housekeeping in work areas and supervises safety and accident program within the
department. Enforces safety policies and the use of required safety equipment.

1. Establishes performance standards, monitoring employee performance and focusing the Department’s attention to
areas of opportunity to maximize performance.

3. Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement and coaching techniques.

Experience and Skills Required: Graduation from high school [or equivalent] plus at least two years of related
technical training and/or three years on the job related experience.
At least three years of recent related maintenance manufacturing/production experience which includes the following
skills and abilities:
1. Strong working knowledge of machine trouble shooting, machine repair and scheduling.
2. Working knowledge of OSHA Standards, blueprint/schematic reading, machine operation and record keeping.
3. General knowledge of manufacturing operations to include quality assurance.
4. Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate maintenance activities.
5. General knowledge of product costing, internal accounting controls, and financial analysis of revenues and
expenditures.
6. Ability to supervise personnel in a manner conducive to efficient performance and high morale.
7. Ability to select and train competent personnel for the Company.
8. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
9. Knowledge of personnel administration.
10. Ability to operate general office equipment including maintenance related applications on a microcomputer.
11. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with others and to present ideas effectively, orally
and in writing.
Compensation OTC12 - $88,469 - $132,655 - The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
