Position: Maintenance Level II | Full Time
Shift Availability: Must be able to work weekends
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Level II is responsible for the proper maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, hotel public areas, back of house spaces, meeting rooms, kitchen and lounge. Responds to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests in a timely manner. Maintenance of the hotel may include but is not limited to, electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, general maintenance, pool maintenance, furniture repair, and serves as a relief supervisor in the absence of the chief engineer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
(DETAILS)
- Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the property.
- Perform duties assigned by the chief engineer, supervisor-on-duty, and hotel management, including but not limited to completing tasks submitted by work order.
- Daily and regularly checks for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System) and update remarks once the task is completed.
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
- Acknowledges and responds to occupied and vacant guestroom repair requests in a timely manner.
- Responds to guest calls in a positive, guest-oriented manner.
- Participation in preventative maintenance program per set schedules.
- Regularly performs preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, kitchen, and lounge per set schedules.
- Maintain maintenance inventory for maintenance tools and supplies.
- Maintain maintenance office, shop areas, and storage's in a safe, organized, and clean manner.
- Regularly maintenance smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors and check that they operate properly.
- Safely investigate sounding fire alarms and report findings to management and guest services.
- Maintain guest confidentiality.
- Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values and Mission Statement.
