What this job involves:
As a Maintenance Supervisor at JLL working second shift (2pm to 10:30pm), you'll sustain our comprehensive Facility Management Program by providing direct supervision of operational support personnel during evening operations. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and you'll demonstrate this by managing GM UAW Trades, general industrial cleaning personnel, and sub-contractors while taking responsibility for project work assigned by the Facilities Manager. Your role requires investigating, planning, managing, and implementing projects assigned by the Site Manager and GM Site Team while performing safe operating tours to ensure proper operation during critical evening hours. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees, and you'll contribute to this mission by solving building operational issues and providing on-site coverage during weekend production or maintenance projects. What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you'll exemplify this through regular communication with building occupants regarding project status and meeting with alternate shift managers and the Facility Manager to address outstanding issues and upcoming projects.

- Manage GM UAW Trades and general industrial cleaning personnel while supervising sub-contractors performing project work during second shift operations

- Monitor supply inventory levels and purchase orders to maintain critical components and minimize downtime on systems supporting critical environments
- Establish relationships with key facility contacts, keeping them informed of work order status and activities that could affect their operations
- Provide comprehensive emergency support and implement emergency procedures for building operations while ensuring shop and work areas remain organized
Required qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with technical emphasis
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience in a supervisory role
- Strong interpersonal and management skills with knowledge of building systems
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience working in a unionized environment
- Ability to work second shift schedule (2pm to 10:30pm) with weekend coverage as required
Preferred qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and components
- Experience managing UAW trades personnel and union operations
