Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
What this job involves: As a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift at our medical products distribution facility, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. This role combines routine facility maintenance with material handling equipment support to ensure seamless operations in our critical healthcare supply chain.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Change material handling equipment (MHE) batteries during scheduled maintenance windows
- Empty trash receptacles and gaylords when ¾ full in assigned areas (interior and exterior)
- Dust mop and maintain cleanliness along shipping and receiving docks
- Remove debris and trash from aisles and walkways throughout your designated zone
- Perform under-rack cleaning and maintenance (rotating through all aisles monthly)
- Clear dock door areas of load stops, lumber, and other materials
- Support pest control efforts by ensuring doors and containers remain closed
- Assist maintenance technicians with equipment inspections and repairs as needed
Periodic Duties:
- Weekly: Clean compactor areas of debris and sand
- Monthly: Remove spider webs from interior walls and clear exterior truck yard areas
- Quarterly: Vacuum fire safety equipment areas and clean sanitation lines
- Annually: Deep clean sanitation systems and dock door maintenance
Work Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency with PC and mobile devices for work orders, email, time tracking, and safety training
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed maintenance schedules
- Physical capability to perform cleaning, lifting, and maintenance tasks
- Commitment to safety protocols in a medical distribution environment
- Forklift experience required; onsite certification training will be provided
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse or distribution facility maintenance
- Familiarity with material handling equipment and battery systems
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning and safety procedures
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution environments
