Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience with programmable logic controllers. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Oversee and supervise maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with residential painting and other facility upkeep tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is essential.
- Strong electrical experience, including familiarity with ohmmeters and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of machinery.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers is highly desirable.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a maintenance team.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Background in manufacturing environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
