Maintenance Technician – First Shift

Pay: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, First Shift (Day Shift)

Job Summary
Ultrafab is seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our manufacturing facility in Greer, SC. This first-shift role requires a strong electrical background and the ability to perform complex troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of production and facility equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and document all work completed.
- Use tools such as conduit benders, cable pullers, multimeters, and vibration analyzers.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Complete facility maintenance tasks (lighting, minor plumbing, ceiling tiles, etc.).
- Maintain CMMS records and communicate downtime and repair priorities.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and participate in safety training.
- Assist with inventory control for parts and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Willingness to learn and operate advanced tools (lathe, mill, grinder, welder).
Qualifications
- Electrical or mechanical vocational/trade school diploma required.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and reading schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, reaching).
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE.
- Exposure to loud noise and industrial equipment.
