Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maitre' De to join our team at Meridian in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess excellent customer service and communication skills. As the Maitre' De, you will be responsible for overseeing the dining room, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant
- Manage reservations and waiting lists
- Assign tables and direct staff to ensure a smooth service
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally
- Oversee the reception team and other restaurant staff
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of reservation systems
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in hospitality management is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
