Catastrophe Modeling – Technical Solutions Manager
As the Catastrophe Modeling Technical Solutions Manager, you will be a member of the Marsh Global Catastrophe Modeling team within Marsh Advisory, leading the development and operation of digital solutions to ensure operational efficiency across multiple platforms. In this role, you will be called on to facilitate automation strategies by building solutions tailored to the requirements of internal and external stakeholders. The focus will be on strategic deployment of leading technology, while also responding quickly to client imperatives. You will support our initiative to deliver superior insights to clients based on the best available data and analytics.

We will count on you to:
- Lead development of Marsh digital tools and processes to drive efficiency and deliver catastrophe risk insights to clients and colleagues
- Drive adoption and integration of new transformative technology
- Maintain a strategic focus with the flexibility to respond quickly to urgent ad-hoc requests
- Effectively listen and communicate complex technical concepts concisely to audiences with varying levels of technical experience
- This position will be responsible for management of others.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree in a STEM field and/or modeling certifications (CCRA, CEEM) are a plus.
- Proficient in Python and VBA, with demonstrated experience developing tools to streamline and automate workflows
- 7+ years of experience working in-depth with catastrophe risk modeling software, including a strong understanding of the backend tables and functions within the Moody’s (RMS), Verisk (AIR) Nat Cat Nat Cat models
- Familiarity with leveraging APIs from catastrophe modeling platforms to extend tool capabilities and support system integration efforts
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail and proven ability to deliver results on time
- Experience interfacing with clients and colleagues in an expert capacity
- Advanced database (SQL) and Microsoft Office skills are required
