The Maintenance Manager will oversee and manage the maintenance for Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Operating Equipment for our Aerospace facility. Position is also responsible for capital planning and oversite and management of Building expansion projects in support of program expansion and new business opportunities
Primary Responsibilities :
- Managing, training and mentoring the maintenance staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Implementing and refining maintenance schedules, overseeing the prioritization of maintenance repairs and reducing the impact to operations.
- Managing the Preventative Maintenance program by ensuring all are completed weekly to reduce unplanned downtime
- Ensuring all safety processes are adhered to in the department, especially LOTO, and working at heights as Maintenance is a resource for all the facilities.
- Oversight that DRA’s are completed and all in your department are utilizing the safety process in place.
- Ensure utilization of the CMMS system by the department through continual tracking of the usage.
- Ensure training is completed on time for maintenance personnel
- Oversee key maintenance contractors that interface with operations, engineering and maintenance. This could include Planning, designs, and oversees the reconfiguration, installation and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date and construction feasibility.
- Prepares SOWs for construction and facilities improvements or additions. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, permitting, preparation, and other related costs.
- Extensive background in functionality of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Dust collection, General building and structures, Facility support equipment including various types of Cranes.
- Reports via email and in person on status of schedules, budgets, cost, and Risk analysis for projects and current status of equipment to the Facilities Manager
- Interacts frequently with internal and external individuals from all aspects of the business to support the needs of production and the facility while providing detailed descriptions of the challenges and timelines.
- Financial oversight to prioritize the impact of the providing funding to maximize the spend value of the allocated budget.
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Oversight to ensure that the facility is clean and organized within the constraints of the space provided.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- Finance, Business, Capex experience plus 10 years of diverse professional experience in all areas of Facilities to include 5-7+ years of project management in a manufacturing facility environment.
- Kowledge of building processes and construction principles
- Project management skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, Microsoft Office, BMS systems and other design-oriented software
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members in both written d verbal forms.
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time. Excellent troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills.
