Managing Attorney – Workers’ Compensation Defense
Location: Fully Remote (with occasional court and office appearances in San Francisco)
Compensation: $275,000 – $300,000 annually + Bonus Opportunities
About the Role:
We are seeking a Managing Attorney with a strong background in workers’ compensation defense to
lead and oversee our legal team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional in-person
appearances in San Francisco for court proceedings and key client or firm-related engagements. If you're
an experienced attorney with a talent for leadership and a results-driven mindset, we’d love to connect.
Key Qualifications:
- Active member of the California Bar in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense
- Proven management and leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor legal staff
- Exceptional research, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong background in business development and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to effectively prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships across all levels
- Familiarity with MerusCase Management Software is a plus
