We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Managing Director, Client Executive to join our Global Client Management team. This role is located in New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Independently develop the enterprise-wide strategic plan for managing a portfolio of existing client relationships and/or new prospects, focusing on revenue growth through deepening and expanding existing relationships and cultivating new business.
- Serve in a consultative role to clients/prospects, advising top (C-suite) leadership on achieving their short- and long-term strategic objectives through a solutions-oriented approach delivering the firm's full capabilities.
- Act as the highest point of escalation for the client and the face of the relationship with the firm, holding partners accountable for delivering their part of the client experience and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle including account planning, deal structuring, risk management, and maintaining accurate client and deal information in eCRM/reporting platforms.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- 15+ years of total work experience preferred, with financial services experience in a particular client type or product (e.g., Hedge, Pension) and prior experience in a related customer-facing role such as Sales Support, Global Capital Markets, or Product Management.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Strong understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape, and industry drivers in the relevant region; bi-lingual capabilities and understanding of local/cultural nuances are helpful.
- Proven ability to independently develop leads, initiate contact with senior-level decision makers (up to C-suite), and foster cross-collaboration internally.
- Experience providing thought leadership and industry expertise at industry roundtables, conferences, client events, and webinars.
- No direct reports but provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced Client Coverage leads and may lead other Client Coverage members in managing major accounts.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $350,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
