Responsible for assisting in coordinating the organization’s efforts to increase public awareness of and participation in the Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County Mission, using print and social media; community events; and recruitment, recognition and retention of volunteers and donors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Marketing and Communications Manager with and implements HFHCC annual advertising, marketing, and public relations strategic plan within the guidelines of the annual budget.
- Coordinates graphic design, layout and copy of all printed and electronic marketing materials, including brochures and newsletters.
- Actively pursue new avenues for recruiting volunteers and follow-up on leads.
- Work with various groups and individuals to match volunteer interests and skills with volunteer opportunities.
- Ensure the volunteers are background screened, trained, and have signed the required liability waivers.
- Assemble volunteers as needed for specific tasks on building sites, office, ReStores and for committee requests.
- Maintains photo database of Homeowner Dedication, Volunteers and Affiliate Events.
- Maintains contact information for contributor/donor database.
- Help maintain Keystone, Charity Proud & Builder Trend volunteer databases and ensure that volunteer liability waivers are signed and filled.
- Plans and Coordinates annual Fundraiser.
- Assist in the plannning and coordination of the Annual Volunteer Appreciation event.
- Other Administrative Duties as assigned by the Marketing and Communications Manager.

- Administrative business knowledge and experience.
- Marketing/Advertising/Event Planning education and/or experience.
- Ability to multi-task daily between administrative duties, marketing and advertising coordination, and event planning and execution.
- Ability to work under pressure within deadlines.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Education and/or experience with computer programs, Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, WordPress.
- Education in Business administration and Marketing, or its equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Preference is given for experience with non-profit volunteer-intensive organization.
