Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Marketing is a dynamic, results-driven marketing team responsible for positioning films released by Disney/20th Century (live action), Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and now studio branded titles on Disney+. This organization oversees the Studios’ global marketing strategy encompassing creative, media, digital, international, promotions, publicity, research, special events, and synergy, and handles some the most valuable film brands and franchises of all time.
The Media Operations Specialist is an exciting opportunity on the Studios Media & Marketing team that will support the team’s Director and two Managers on several cross-functional projects. The Specialist will be responsible for billing accruals/invoicing, custom reporting, and ad hoc project support. The Specialist must have exceptional interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with our media agency, Finance, Sourcing, and other marketing team members/executives.
Responsibilities
Partner with Accounting, Finance and Media team to process invoices and accruals for projects that are planned and paid internally
Update and distribute weekly spend reporting for global media team
Work on custom reporting for the Media organization on ad hoc basis
Assist in tracking planned and actualized media delivery across Studio and Disney+ titles (20th Century, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Disney Animation, Disney Live Action) to monitor pacing and benefits for crossline deals
Assist in monitoring added value pacing and allocations
Review and analyze large sets of Synergy data to compile into digestible insights for Senior leadership
Liaise with media team to track quarterly campaign highlights and best practices
Help organize team events (Summits, quarterly functions, etc.) in partnership with admin and events lead
Provide design recommendations for key decks that will be presented and distributed to Senior leadership
Collaborate with team Managers and Director to oversee status documents and resources
Basic Qualifications
2+ years in a media or advertising position, preferably with exposure to direct-to-consumer or entertainment businesses
Exceptional multi-tasking skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Demonstrates strong skillset in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Keynote
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to ensure successful interactions with executives and business unit contacts
Detail-oriented with the ability to cross-check large data sets with minimal oversight
Proactive and resourceful team player with a positive outlook and the ability to problem solve
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in California is $66,700.00 to $86,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
