Summary
As a Medical Biller at The One Health Group, you will play a vital role in the healthcare process by ensuring accurate billing and coding for medical services. This position is essential for maintaining our commitment to quality care and efficient operations within our healthcare system.
Responsibilities
- Review and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on outstanding claims and payments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely collections.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with proficiency in ICD-10 systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.
