Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding to process claims
- Verify insurance coverage and accurately input patient information
- Review and appeal denied or rejected claims
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues
- Maintain patient billing records and follow up on outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and privacy laws
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record systems
- Familiarity with ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and medical collection systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies
- Prior experience working in a medical office setting
