Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of medical administrative support within a clinical or hospital setting. This role is essential for ensuring efficient practice management, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhancing patient care quality.
Duties
- Oversee the overall practice operations including staffing, billing, marketing and compliance, and act as a liaison between the company officers and staff.
- Responsible for developing and implementing the clinic’s mission and strategic vision.
- Provide leadership to the company staff in developing, planning and implementing the clinic’s business plans.
- Recommend, develop, implement improvements for the practice.
- Inform company officers about current trends, problems and medical activities to facilitate policy making.
- Establish, secure approval and oversee clinic operating policies and procedures.
- Oversee efforts for recruitment, development, performance evaluation of employees.
- Oversee the business and financial affairs of the clinic and fiscal management in conjunction with the practice CPA.
- Oversee and manage the billing and collection processes.
- Enhance operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.
- Ensure clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies.
- Continually monitor operations, programs, physical properties.
- Initiate appropriate changes.
- Encourage community education by initiating participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness.
- Responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the practice.
- Represent the clinic in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies, and third party payers.
- Manage all practice managed care relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts.
- Resolve any medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful clinic atmosphere.
- Maintain professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.
- Maintain strictest patient confidentiality.
Experience
- Minimum 2-year experience in a similar position within a clinic or hospital environment is required.
