Position Summary:
The Medical Staff Coordinator provides direction and administration of programs and operations provided by the Medical Staff Office. Acts as liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, medical records and administration within parameters established by administration and officers of the medical staff. Will assist in implementing and maintaining educational activities necessary for the continuous quality improvement program. Assures incorporation of quality information into the medical staff peer review and reappointment process. Communicates and collaborates with the medical staff, patient care departments, and other department staff.
Qualifications:
Prefer CPHQ or NAMSS certification and Prefer Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
Prefer minimum 3-5 years acute care hospital background with Medical Staff Credentialing and Peer Review experience.
