Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, including autism, PTSD, and various developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be on providing care and assistance to patients while ensuring their safety and well-being in a therapeutic environment.
Duties
- Assist in the daily care and support of individuals with mental health conditions, including those with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to patient care.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication management protocols.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide support during crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Participate in training sessions related to behavioral health practices and special education needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with addiction and/or mental health conditions is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and medication administration protocols.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A background in mental health or addiction is a plus.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and able to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
