We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Commercial Officer (RCO) to join our Middle Market Practice. This individual plays a critical role in driving growth across the region. This position is responsible for executing commercial strategies, aligning with cross-functional leaders, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact solutions to clients.
The RCO will manage a reduced portfolio of accounts while also supporting broader market initiatives and strategic pursuits. What the day will look like
- Drive retention and growth strategy through a clearly defined and evolving client value proposition.
- Align with the Regional Managers on new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with local and regional leaders in Sales, Broking, Consulting, and Claims to ensure execution of Commercial Risk client deliverables and new business.
- Participate with sales teams in using Data & Analytics (D&A) to close complex risk solutions.
- Stay current on market trends across key insurer trading partners and maintain strong industry connections.
- Engage with the Producers and Account Executives on their top 25 targeted prospects in each office.
- Develop and execute a growth plan in each market with an industry lens.
- Partner with Regional Sales Leaders, Account Executive Practice Leaders, Industry Leaders and Broking Leaders to understand and manage the full sales pipeline.
- Identify and involve the right subject matter experts (SMEs) and team members for client and prospect engagements.
- Support sales teams in closing and selling to prospects and clients.
- Consolidate and translate data insights into actionable lessons for field teams.
- Build, tailor, and support marketing campaigns such as seminars, webinars, roundtables, and forums to showcase Middle Market capabilities and thought leadership.
- Maintain a reduced account load to focus on growth.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Property & Casualty insurance, with a strong preference for expertise in Middle Market.
- Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form
- Involvement in the transaction of insurance for commercial risk/middle market companies
- A network of carrier relationships, carrier references required
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience using management reports to find opportunities and impact results
- Consistent achievement of assigned territorial or practice goals
Education: Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent years of industry experience.
- A Property and Casualty Brokers License is required, or must be obtained within 120 days of hire if not already active

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $200,000-$250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
