Christian Life Academy is currently seeking a middle school flag football coach for the 2025 fall football season.
Job Description: The coach will be responsible for leading and developing our middle school flag football team, instilling in them a love for the sport while upholding the values and mission of Christian Life Academy. This role involves teaching fundamental football skills, developing game strategies, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes. The typical timeframe for the fall flag football season in Florida can range from late August/September to October/November, but specific dates will be determined by the school's athletic department and league schedules.
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective and engaging flag football practices that focus on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork.
Potentially assist with the inventory, care, and distribution of team equipment
- Develop and implement game strategies and tactics appropriate for middle school athletes.
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to student-athletes to encourage growth and improvement in their skills and understanding of the game.
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment that emphasizes Christian values, respect, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes by adhering to safety guidelines and procedures set forth by the school and any relevant athletic associations.
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with players, parents, and the athletic department regarding schedules, team updates, and any other important information.
- Attend all scheduled practices, games, and any required team meetings or school events.
- Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and other school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the flag football program.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to coaching and student conduct.
