We are hiring for a 5-day teacher assistant position. Candidates need to be able to work Monday through Friday. Morning hours are 7:00am-1:oopm, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends!
Job Description
Arcadia Montessori is looking for a teacher assistant who loves working with children. Previous Montessori experience and working with young children is required, as well as patience, a desire to work with children, and a constantly positive attitude.
Your Role
Your job will revolve around helping the children stay focused and on task, classroom management, listening and observing skills, building confidence and independence. Other duties include diaper changing, potty training, monitoring lunch time, putting children down for nap, sanitizing classroom materials, doing laundry and keeping the classroom clean and beautiful. We want your input and encourage contributing ideas for arts/crafts. And most importantly, we want you to have fun!
Requirements
- Level One Fingerprint clearance card (must obtain prior to start.
- CPR/1st Aide Certified (may obtain after employment)
- Food Handler's Card (may obtain after employment)
Fine Print
A few requirements to note:
- Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away.
- Ability to provide sustained attention to students at all times.
- Ability to stand, kneel, stoop and crouch.
- Ability to lift, turn and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to maintain a consistent schedule. The children need you here every day!
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour.
