Pinnacle Academy is an award winning PreSchool-Grade 12 private school located in Chantilly, VA. We are currently seeking a teacher assistant to immediately join our team in a Pre-K classroom. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten program follows the Montessori method. Montessori certification is a plus, but experienced teachers who are not yet certified will also be considered.
This is a year round position with summer work opportunities.
Job requirements include:
- Helping Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment
- Reviewing lessons or lectures with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups
- Supervising students in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field trips
- Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades
- Giving extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
- Assisting students with special learning requirements
- Attending faculty meetings and parent conferences
- Collaborating with the Lead Teacher to plan for each student's individual growth
- Observing state, school and class rules and regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
