Description
Main purpose of the role: In concert with Company policies, directs and coordinates Branch Maintenance and Repair program as well as help coordinate all Logistics and Equipment Control functions under supervision from Management.
Major areas of responsibility: Responsible as Branch Maintenance and Repair coordinator to meet weekly internal KPIs as well as set by Norfolk management. The Logistics and Equipment Control functions include all backup functions to branch employees as well as consistently learning new functions and training employees when needed.
Main Tasks:
- Maintain Reefer & Genset Inventory
- Review M&R estimates submitted by vendors daily.
- Provide daily Error Reports to Vendors
- Follow up with vendors to assure Errors have been corrected from the previous day.
- Assure updating of all M&R equipment moves for Gulf-District locations.
- Submit 3rd Party Estimates for collections
- Maintain excel files for specific cost, IE Tarps including container numbers and locations.
- Update weekly M&R Reports submitted by Corporate.
- Process Vendor Invoices timely.
- Ensure adequate equipment is available at all locations that come out of the MNR program.
- Create and sustain open communication with vendors to make sure KPIs are met.
- Interacts with vendors daily with problem estimates via Agent Team email and follow up phone calls.
- Daily interaction with depot personnel and equipment control vendors.
- Provide M&R/ Equipment guidance to local sales / marketing / Import personnel.
- Communication to the depot for KPI adherence.
Requirements
Academic education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
At least 2 years Experience in equipment control, intermodal and/or M&R preferred.
