We are seeking a dynamic and creative Musical Theatre Teacher to join our performing arts faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience in singing, acting, and dance, with a passion for guiding students in developing well-rounded performance skills. This teacher will inspire confidence, creativity, and discipline while helping students grow as performers and storytellers.
Responsibilities:
- Teach musical theatre classes that integrate voice, acting, and dance.
- Develop lesson plans that focus on stage presence, vocal technique, character development, and storytelling through performance.
- Prepare students for showcases, recitals, and/or productions.
- Provide individualized feedback to help each student strengthen their unique abilities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other faculty members on productions and performance opportunities.
- Stay current with repertoire, teaching methods, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in musical theatre, with training in acting, voice, and dance.
- Performance and/or directing experience in musical theatre productions.
- Previous teaching experience in a studio, school/theatre program or performance experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work with students of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced.
