Job Description – NCC Operations Associate
Title: National Control Center (NCC) Operations Associate
Department: Domestic (supports INTL)
Reports To: NCC Supervisor
Summary
The NCC Operations Associate handles Aeronet client shipments and service requests during off-hours (nights, weekends, holidays). The role focuses on order setup, routing, tracking, and client communication to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
Essential Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Provide courteous client service via phone and email.
- Coordinate shipments (air, ocean, ground) based on client directives.
- Prepare quotes and obtain competitive pricing from vendors.
- Input shipment and cost data into Aerotrac for billing and tracking.
- Manage pass-down tracking and tracing, updating milestones promptly.
- Identify and address shipment delays or deviations, escalating as needed.
- Support compliance with IATA, TSA, and known shipper requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with shippers, vendors, and agents.
- Fulfill specialized client requests within expected timeframes.
Job Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma required; 2–3 years of experience preferred (not mandatory).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem-solve and multitask under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and often alone during off-hours.
- Must meet TSA background/drug screening requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
