Job Description
- Process parts and interpret findings in accordance with Exotic and customer specifications and requirements.
- Follow established NDT technique sheets and ensures any revisions to established techniques meet Exotic and customer requirements.
- Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of NDT methods and techniques and propose solutions to problems which impact productivity.
- Support other NDT Technicians in revising established techniques and methods.
- Accurately document inspection findings
- Recommends modifications to inspection procedures/techniques
- Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers and other inspection devices
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system
- Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
- Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our commitments, and carry out our organization's virtues.
- NAS410 certified in FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray Inspection
- Experience with X-ray (digital and/or conventional)
- Possess documented classroom and on-the-job training hours to meet NAS410 certification requirements.
- Able to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints and sketches.
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment, such as calipers and micrometers
- Possess adequate knowledge of Exotic manufacturing and NDT processes to be able to anticipate problems in order to implement effective and productive inspection techniques.
- General knowledge of welding and forming processes
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $20.00/hr to $34.35/hr
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
