Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our cardiology team. The NP will provide high-quality patient-centered care, including diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and health education for patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires an individual who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in cardiology care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and cardiovascular assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (EKG, stress tests, labs, imaging)
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modification, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Board certification as a Family, Adult, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Cardiology experience preferred
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in cardiology or cardiovascular patient management
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
