Position Supervision: Nutrition Director
General Statement of Position’s Purpose: The Nutrition Services Staff Member plays an essential role in preparing and serving state approved meals to students in a high-paced, friendly school kitchen. This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, accurately follow recipes, maintain organized inventory, and provide excellent customer service to students and staff.

Education and/or Training:
· Food Handlers Card
Experience:
· Experience in Child Nutrition preferred, but not required
- Previous food service experience is desirable but not required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Demonstrated Knowledge/Proficiency of Equipment, Tools, Materials and Skills:
· Methods of preparing, serving and storing a variety of foods.
- Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
· Professional sanitation services. Operate commercial kitchen machinery.
Typical Duties:
· Work cohesively with peers, supervisors, school personnel, and students.
· Work in large groups or crowds.
· Apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.
· Sets up, merchandises food and food service areas and serves food.
· Practice safe food handling according to Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point HACCP and Standard Operating Procedures.
· Assist in monitoring, reduction and management of food waste.
· Clean and sanitize pots, pans and kitchen utensils.
· Performs daily, weekly and monthly deep cleaning of the facility, service ares and all kitchen equipment such as counters, tables, ovens, refrigerators, freezers, mobile carts and rolling racks.
· Mops floors and disposes of waste according to Food Service Operating Procedures and OSHA.
· Receives, labels and stores food and supplies according to Food Service HACCP Standards.
· Assists in transporting and serving food.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.30 - $19.30 per hour
