An Asian Food Wholesaler and Distributor is seeking a dynamic and motivated Office Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for sales, and an interest in Asian food culture. Office Manager will be overseeing day-to-day administrative operations and lead a team. The ideal candidate has a background in administration, HR, or management, and thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of administrative and operational staff
- Oversee day-to-day office functions to ensure efficiency and professionalism
- Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, vacation tracking, and personnel records
- Coordinate with finance on budgeting, expense tracking, and invoice approvals
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures
- Manage office vendors and service providers (supplies, equipment, etc.)
- Organize internal meetings, events, and travel logistics for executives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations in the workplace
- Support cross-departmental collaboration and act as a communication bridge between staff and senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in office management, administration, or human resources
- Proven experience leading and managing a small team
- Strong understanding of office operations, including HR and budgeting processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office software
- Familiarity with accounting or HR software is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Cheerful, energetic personality and a collaborative leadership style
Bonus:
- Fluency or working proficiency in an Asian language (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Chinese) is highly preferred for communication with suppliers and partners
- Experience in the food import/export or distribution industry is a plus
