Position Summary
The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new hires from the time of offer acceptance through their first week of employment. This role manages the administrative, logistical, and communication aspects of the onboarding process, while also serving as a point of contact for new employees, managers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare and send new hire communication, welcome packets, and pre-employment instructions.
- Collect, verify, and process new hire documentation (I-9, tax forms, background checks, etc.).
- Enter and maintain employee information accurately in HRIS and related systems.
- Schedule and coordinate orientation sessions, training, and introductions with managers/teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their transition into the organization.
- Monitor completion of onboarding tasks and follow up as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide feedback to HR leadership on ways to improve the onboarding process and overall employee experience.
- Supply badges and timecards for Atlanta personnel.
- Support other HR and administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative coordination preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to providing an exceptional employee experience.
- I9 and E-Verify experience a plus.
