Position Summary:
The Operations Assistant, under the direction of the Director of Campus Ministry and the Assistant Principal for Student Life, supports the programming that comes out of Campus Ministry by performing administrative and communication functions for campus ministry projects and initiatives. In addition, the Operations Assistant position will aid in implementing intentional programs and events that foster spiritual formation. The Operations Assistant, in collaboration with the Campus Ministry Team, coordinates and promotes opportunities that develop, support and nurture the faith lives of the SHC community, and animate the mission of the school, the charisms of its founders, and the mission of the Catholic church. It is a full-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Mission
Invests in the mission of SHC and the charisms of the Daughters of Charity and De La Salle Christian Brothers through active Catholic mission formation.
Campus Ministry Operations
Is responsible for administrative duties related to the day to day operations of campus ministry. All responsibilities will be conducted with guidance and assistance from the Director of Campus Ministry.
Works collaboratively with the Campus Ministry Team and supports the implementation of campus ministry programs, initiatives, and events.
Maintains departmental files, forms, and records.
Takes inventory, organizes, maintains, and orders office, program, and retreat supplies.
Secures facilities and contracts for programs and student and faculty retreats
Manages social media accounts and display boards to promote campus ministry events.
Assists with set-up, and take down for liturgy (e.g. EMs, Tech Support) and other campus ministry events.
Communicates with vendors and other school departments/personnel that collaborate on campus ministry programs and events.
Attends overnight retreats and Venaver Immersions as needed.
Maintains and schedules Prayer Room and Chapel.
Assists with maintenance of the Prayer Room and Chapel Logistics.
Performs assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner and meets assigned deadlines consistently.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with members of the school community, through availability, accountability, creativity, credibility, and confidentiality.
Creates space to be present with and supportive of students and peers in their spiritual growth and development.
Other
Collaborates with other Campus Ministry Team members to advance the mission of the school.
Attends all Campus Ministry Team meetings.
Participates in opportunities for professional development.
Attends programs of the Office of Young Lasallians for the District of San Francisco-New Orleans as needed.
Assists the Director of Campus Ministry with other duties as needed.
