Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Operations Manager to lead and scale our day-to-day operations across fulfillment, inventory, customer experience, and systems management. This role is essential to delivering on GB Wear’s brand promise — supporting B2C customers and B2B partners (schools, teams, regions) alike. You will oversee our warehouse, internal inventory infrastructure, customer service function, and partnerships with third-party vendors (including IT and HR). You’ll play a key role in refining processes, coaching high-performing teams, and driving initiatives that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Fulfillment
- Lead daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, receipt of goods, returns, and safety compliance.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure system accuracy across platforms (e.g., Shopify, ShipHero).
- Manage operational supply ordering, restocks, and vendor fulfillment logistics.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for warehouse, tech systems, and service workflows.
- Plan and execute bulk fulfillment strategies, including pre-orders and regional drops.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and workplace safety standards.
Customer Experience
- Own and elevate the customer service function for both eCommerce and institutional (school/team) clients.
- Manage the customer support team to deliver high-quality, timely service using tools like Gorgias or Zendesk.
- Own and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) and other satisfaction benchmarks.
Team & Vendor Leadership
- Supervise, train, and support warehouse and customer service staff; conduct performance evaluations.
- Partner with HR to support hiring, onboarding/offboarding, and workforce logistics.
- Coordinate with Brite City (IT partner) to ensure system uptime and fast issue resolution.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships and performance against SLAs and sustainability standards.
Strategic Operations
- Monitor and analyze KPIs; develop improvement plans and cost-saving initiatives.
- Build and manage departmental budgets.
- Drive tech and process improvements across logistics, systems, and customer experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Design teams to align timelines and readiness for product launches.
_ Qualifications Required _
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of proven experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operations software (e.g., Shopify, ShipHero, Gorgias).
- Excellent leadership, delegation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal, and campaign-based environment. Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in apparel, eCommerce, or fulfillment-based operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and sustainability practices.
