Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient inventory management, transportation planning, and overall operational excellence. The Operations Manager will lead a team to optimize workflows, improve processes, and drive performance across all facets of the operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse distribution.
- Oversee transportation management and logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory levels and streamline order fulfillment.
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop demand planning strategies to align inventory levels with customer needs.
- Analyze data related to operations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support e-commerce initiatives and packaging requirements.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and freight carriers.
- Ensure effective materials handling practices are in place for optimal workflow.
- Lead training programs for staff on warehouse management best practices, including forklift operation and order picking techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, transportation planning, and freight operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information for decision-making.
- Experience with category management, procurement, and sourcing strategies.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across various departments.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,316.04 - $85,000.00 per year
