Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optical Manager to oversee the daily operations of our optical department as well as the overall clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in optical office management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is crucial for ensuring that our team delivers high-quality patient care while maintaining efficient workflow and adherence to industry standards.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the optical department, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage scheduling using systems.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management for the clinic and in particular, the optical department, ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and optical standards.
- Provide administrative support to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Optometrists and all staff to ensure integrated patient care across services.
- Ensure that the clinic delivers a high level of customer service and satisfaction at all times.
- Works well with the frame representatives and selects lines and frames consistent with the clinic philosophy.
- Ensures the optical offers exclusive frame lines when possible.
Skills
- Proven experience in optical office management, as well as basic clinic management.
- Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management to support departmental goals.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to optical care.
- Proficient in scheduling of patients to ensure that the doctor's schedules are full.
- Ability to multitask at a high level.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
