- Performs tests to determine viscosity, temperature, fluid delivery and all other necessary tests to ensure top performance of paint application equipment.
- Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment. Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
- Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures. Unload mixtures into containers/conveyors for further processing.
- Observe production or monitor equipment (pumps, conveyors) to ensure materials movement for safe and efficient operations.
- Clean and maintain equipment, using hand and other tools. Open valves to drain slurry / paint from mixers into storage tanks
- Creates, edits and/or maintains all necessary documentation as required.
- Works closely with process engineers for quality control and inventory of paint
- Provides monthly paint inventory to Supervisor
- Assumes responsibility for safety/environmental issues and ongoing performance of processes
- Assists in maintaining records for DEQ hazardous waste compliance
- Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas
- Orders and maintains inventories of paint and solvent.
