Position Overview:
The Pantry & Fryer Cook will be responsible for preparing and organizing cold dishes, salads, desserts, and other pantry items, as well as operating and maintaining the fryer station. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble pantry items, including salads, garnishes, desserts, and appetizers.
- Operate the fryer to cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain proper station setup and organization for efficient service.
- Monitor food quality and freshness; rotate stock as needed.
- Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-moving environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
