WORKERS’ COMPENSATION/SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY PARALEGAL
Hours of Work: 8:30 to 5:00 with 1/2 hour for lunch
Full-time 40 hours per week or part-time position 32 hours per week
Four - Five days a week - Days to be determined Monday through Friday
Skills/Abilities : Provide paralegal support for two attorneys
Excellent communication skills
Organizational skills
Accuracy/attention to detail
Manage/meet deadlines
Knowledge of Word and Excel
Educational Requirements : Associates degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program or prior experience in legal administration
Job Description:
Prepare initial case information, opening letters and obtain medical records
Maintain document files by scanning and labeling
Prepare and send letters, legal documents
Draft cover sheet for Appeals and Rebuttals
Calendar hearings and resolve conflicts on calendar
Calendar depositions and prepare notice letters
Prepare Releases and Affidavits
Maintain client contact
Prepare exhibits and obtain medical records

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
