General Function
The Admissions Representative provides assistance in the implementation and documentation of all recruitment project activities as directed.
The Admissions Representative works an average of 20 hours per week, although some weeks may be more. Part-time 50% FTE employees may not work more than 1,000 hours in a rolling 12-month period.
This is a limited-term appointment through June 30, 2026. Continued employment beyond 6/30/2026 will be determined by the department.

Description of Primary Duties
Responsibilities include recruitment presentations at high schools, in the community and at on-campus events; assisting with the campus tour/campus visit day program; facilitating the work of student recruitment team; representing the University at community events throughout the service area, and college fairs throughout the state, including making travel arrangements, planning itinerary, transporting and setting up recruitment display materials and media equipment unassisted.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Travel and occasional consecutive overnight and weekend travel required.
- Effective organizational skills are required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with limited supervision is required.
- Must demonstrate competency/consciousness in working with varied student populations.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Missouri State University-West Plains’ academic programs, facilities, student activities and organizations is preferred.
