Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes on all painting assignments. Potential to move to a permanent full time position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment
- Perform caulking and plastering tasks to ensure smooth surfaces
- Collaborate with team members on renovation and restoration projects
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with fixture installation and other maintenance person tasks as required
Experience
- Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to painting tasks
- Experience with carpentry techniques including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and concrete finishing is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of workmanship
