Job Summary
The Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, particularly in the realms of mental health and addiction. Duties
- Provide crisis intervention and management to individuals in distress, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Offer addiction counseling and behavioral health support, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change and personal growth.
- Mentor clients through their recovery journey, fostering resilience and self-efficacy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and mental health professionals, to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in crisis management and counseling.
