Position Title: People & Culture Assistant (Intern)
Department: Operations
Location: Santa Ana, CA
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part- Time
Job Summary:
The Part-Time People & Culture Assistant (Intern) provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department. This role plays a key part in assisting and supporting the day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate is a current student seeking college credit or an individual with entry-level experience who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire documents and scheduling orientation
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, digital records, and compliance documents
· Support HR-related inquiries from staff and route questions as needed
· Coordinate employee events, recognition efforts, and training logistic.
· Help with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and HRIS data entry
· Assist in scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
· Support HR communications such as policy updates, memos, and reminders
· Perform general clerical tasks: scanning, filing, organizing documentation
· Uphold confidentiality and compliance with company policies and labor laws
· Assist with companywide tasks.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or HR coursework (preferred)
· 0–2 years of administrative or HR support experience
· Recent graduates or individuals with relevant internship experience in HR or administration encouraged to apply.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs for extended periods.
· May require sitting or standing for extended periods
