Responsibilities:
As a Pet Care Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every pet at Happy Tails Lodge receives top-notch care. Your duties will include:
- Maintaining a spotless and safe environment: This involves thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing animal quarters, equipment, and rooms.
- Ensuring animal well-being: You'll be responsible for exercising animals according to schedule, providing adequate feeding and watering, and closely monitoring and recording any health or behavioral issues.
- Engaging and interacting with pets: Enjoy playing and interacting with animals of all sizes and breeds, both indoors and outdoors, creating a stimulating and fun environment.
- Teamwork and communication: Work effectively and respectfully with fellow employees and pet owners, ensuring clear communication and a harmonious environment.
- Lending a paw: Assist other departments as needed, contributing to the overall success of Happy Tails Lodge.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
- Animal handling ability: Be able to safely lift animals of various sizes and handle heavy equipment.
- Flexible availability: MUST be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills: Clearly and respectfully interact with colleagues and pet owners.
- Attention to detail: Maintain a keen eye for cleanliness, animal behavior, and facility standards.
- Physical stamina: Be comfortable working 10-hour shifts.
- Prior animal experience is a plus, but not required! We're looking for passion and a willingness to learn.
