We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planner/Scheduler to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring efficient production planning and execution through the effective use of SAP and other advanced planning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing resource utilization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure schedules align with project objectives.
- Material Planning:
- Monitor material requirements and availability to support production schedules.
- Work closely with procurement to address material shortages and ensure timely delivery of components.
- SAP Utilization:
- Use SAP for scheduling, material planning, and production tracking.
- Ensure accuracy of data within SAP, including BOMs, routings, and work center capacities.
- Capacity Management:
- Assess and analyze production capacities, identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Implement strategies to balance workloads and ensure smooth operations.
- Change Management:
- Respond to schedule changes driven by customer demands, supply chain disruptions, or production issues.
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders and adjust plans as necessary.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
- Proven experience using SAP (Production Planning and Materials Management modules).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and materials management.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
