Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. The Apprentice Plumber will assist in various plumbing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with the installation and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Participate in construction projects by supporting plumbing installations as per blueprints and schematics.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Engage in pipe threading, assembly, and maintenance tasks as directed by senior plumbers.
- Support field service operations by responding to service calls and assisting with troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while performing duties on-site.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction processes, including construction plumbing techniques.
- Experience with welding, carpentry, HVAC systems, or maintenance person tasks is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting plumbing systems effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions during installations.
- Previous experience on construction sites or in related fields is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced plumbers.
