Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and people-oriented Production Manager to join the Ruby Jewel team. This salaried position is responsible for ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are met while nurturing a positive and collaborative environment for all production team members. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting and mentoring their team to achieve their best potential. This position is also responsible for ensuring all products and processes under their oversight meet all relevant safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines as established by the company and regulatory agencies.
This is a hands-on position that includes regularly working in the production environment, hiring and training staff, scheduling production and team members, and helping to drive productivity improvements. The Production Manager must be not only competent and knowledgeable on all workstations and equipment within the facility but also capable of fostering the continuous development and well-being of all team members.
The anticipated schedule for this position will be 11:00AM - 9:00PM, Monday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do:

Is responsible for monitoring the production process by:
- Manage all production processes from grinding to final packaging.
- Ensuring all FDA, HACCP, SQF, OSHA and other compliance, safety and regulatory processes are followed.
- Adjust workflow and re-prioritize daily activities to accommodate for changes in schedule, orders, staffing or equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with all SOP’s.
- Work closely with the AM Production Manager to set and maintain the production schedule to accomplish posted production demands while staying within labor budget.
- Ensure availability of all ingredients to meet production targets.
- Monitors GMP’s throughout the facility.
- Facilitate staff breaks and lunches by coordinating staff schedules and / or actively working on the production floor to break out team members.
- Ensure completion of all appropriate record keeping, reporting, and manufacturing documentation.
- Work with production supervisors to ensure operations are running efficiently.
- Work with production supervisors to ensure that the products produced are of the safest, highest quality possible.
- Create a culture of collaboration, respect, and open communication within the production team by encouraging teamwork and building strong relationships among staff.
- Ensure effective communication channels within the team and act as a go-to person for all production team members, addressing their concerns and maintaining an open-door policy.
- Lead the effort to recruit, develop and engage Production team members to meet productivity goals, implementing mentorship and training programs to help team members excel in their roles and grow professionally.
- Develop, implement, and improve staff training programs to match or exceed industry best practices
- Work collaboratively with the Kitchen Supervisor to establish the kitchen schedule and ensure ingredient availability.

What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum five years of food manufacturing experience
- At least two years in a supervisory position with at least 10 direct reports
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to comprehend, speak, and read English (Bilingual language capability in English and Spanish a plus)
Working Environment:
The position is a production team position within a food manufacturing environment which may at times require the following:
- Ability to come in contact with allergens including but not limited to: nuts, dairy, gluten, latex
- Work with automated and semi-automated ice cream equipment (continuous freezer, packaging equipment, liquid nitrogen tunnel, etc.)
- Work with manual and powered lifts
- Work with manual and power tools (box knife, hammer, drill, etc)
- Work with hazardous chemicals
- Stand, walk and lift for long periods of time throughout a shift
- Communication with all department managers and supervisors, occasional visitors, and contracted workers operating within the facility
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
- Work periodically in a cold storage environment
