Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate teacher with minimum 1-2 years teaching experience in a Preschool or childcare center setting to join our team. This is a full time position.
To be successful as a preschool teacher, you should have the patience, compassion, and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, each of whom will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes, and emotions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through standardized testing and other assessment tools.
- Provide individualized support to students, particularly in areas of literacy education and childhood development.
- Monitoring free time on the playground.
- Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must have minimum 12 Early Childhood Education Units completed
- 1 year of experience teaching 2-5 year old children in a preschool/childcare center preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of early childhood education and child development
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Passion for shaping and inspiring young minds.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Positive attitude
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- US Work Authorization and excellent references
- Submission of TB clearance and background check
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
Pay rate between $22.00-$28.00, depending on skills and experience.
