Required Education and Training:

Primary Function of Position:
At Intuitive, we believe that minimally invasive care is life-enhancing care. We are looking for a team member to support our Instrument and Camera production lines. This position is needed primarily to support a swing shift (3pm to 12am M-F) with flexibility in schedule needed, every Saturday working and potential swing shift. Within Intuitive, the Single Port robotic platform offers surgeons the ability to perform surgeries through a single incision with boundless possibilities. This Process Technician will contribute to sustaining and existing manufacturing processes and equipment to achieve operational excellence.
Essential Job Duties:
- Respond to assembly line challenges with technical evaluation of process and equipment assessment.
- Resolve equipment failures and support resolution of process issues escalate appropriately if necessary.
- Perform installation, repair and upkeep services for a variety of equipment either in the fields of mechanics and electronics.
- Thoroughly document and communicate issues, observations, action, and resolution taken during the course of the shift.
- Follow practices within ERP system to maintain line continuation.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout operation for equipment as necessary to conduct all required tasks safely and control equipment usage to specific engineering and production activities.
- Support Process and Equipment engineers to fit, design and integrate new equipment/component and make sure processes and equipment are working correctly.
- Support Process Engineers testing improvements of processes documenting data and summarizing observations.
- Perform IQOQPQ for equipment being installed in the facilities.
- Redline and create troubleshooting documentation for future reference.
- Required Skills and Experience
- Some 3D modeling/CAD experience desired
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electronics aptitude.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting electronic/mechanical equipment.
- Demonstrated skill in reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of special mechanical, electronics and measuring equipment.
- PLC programming, vision systems experience preferable (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of component manufacturing processes such as injection molding, transfer molding, thermoforming, machining, stamping, and MIM.
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and comfortable interacting with production technicians, product design engineers, planning, buyers, clinical engineers, and suppliers.

Pay: $25.98 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
