Position Summary: The Processing & Pricing Manager will support operations leading activities related to inventory management, donations receiving, donor relations, cleanliness and safety of the inventory areas, and merchandise sorting, testing, pricing, recycling, and storage. The Manager receives direction from the store Operations Director to develop priorities for merchandise processing & pricing. The Manager collaborates with all staff & volunteers in the Processing area to maintain an organized stock of clean & tidy merchandise ready to be moved to the retail floor. The Manager leads the team to proactively respond to donors, and assures donors have an easy and pleasant donating experience. The Manager collaborates with staff & volunteers in the Retail area to maintain a full stock of merchandise. Tests toys, small electronics, inflatables, and other items as needed. The Manager will exhibit a positive attitude in all interactions with customers, staff, donors and volunteers. Proactively directs other staff to assist as needed with Processing tasks. The Manager will collaborate with staff and volunteers to create an environment that is clean, cute, creative and uncluttered.

Position Key Responsibilities
- Organize the Donation Receiving / Processing / Pricing / Testing areas, with the direction of the Store Operations Director
- Manage inventory process - receiving, testing, cleaning, storage, sorting, pricing, etc.
- Adhere to the approved Overflow pricing guide.
- Lead donor relations and assure donors have a positive experience at Overflow
- Manage merchandise storage so it is clean, organized, easily accessible and safe
- Complete daily checklists and productivity reports
- Assist Operations Director to maintain a full inventory level on the sales floor
- Support the Operations Director to proactively rotate merchandise, regularly purging items and assuring product is “fresh”
- Complete cleaning tasks; assure the Processing and Testing areas are clean and uncluttered
- Provide ideas and support to the Marketing & E-Commerce team to promote Overflow merchandise and increase sales
- Collaborate with staff to move merchandise onto the sales floor efficiently and in a manner that maximizes sales opportunity (e.g., moving seasonal items on & off the sales floor)
- Create an environment in the store that promotes customer and staff safety
- Keep aisles free from clutter
- Assure broken items are removed
- Achieve sales goals
- Collaborate with Store Operations Director and other staff to meet monthly sales goals
- Develop and adjust processes for efficiency
- Collaborate with Store Operations Director on process and facility changes that promote efficiency
- Maintain accuracy of department training and pricing guides
- Serve as an ambassador to OTS volunteers - creating an environment of appreciation for our volunteers while supporting volunteers to achieve the OTS mission
- Collaborate with volunteers on assigned work priorities
- Communicate with volunteers with kindness, respect and appreciation
- Participate in planned volunteer trainings, groups, and appreciation as scheduled
- Utilize training and pricing guides for volunteer onboarding
Position Requirements
- High School diploma
- One to two years years experience in retail environment preferred
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and 60 pounds in a team lift occasionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous standing, carrying, bending, squatting, pulling, and pushing
- This is a physically-active role - expect to be standing and moving 95% of each shift. The work includes cleaning the store (mopping, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, dusting), cleaning merchandise, moving boxes and merchandise repeatedly, pushing heavy carts, moving displays, etc.
- Ability to work outside for brief periods in all weather on a variety of tasks such as assisting donors as they remove items from their vehicles, removing trash from the store to exterior dumpsters, helping customers with furniture pick-ups, light shoveling of snow from sidewalks, etc.
- Ability to work two Saturdays each month, and a mix of daily schedules (9 AM to 5:30 PM, or 10 AM to 6:30 PM)
