American Hat Makers has been handcrafting premium hats for over 50 years. As we grow our team in Emory, Texas, we're seeking a Product Development Manager to drive innovation and excellence across our product lines.
This role is essential in transforming ideas into tangible products through hands-on R&D, design collaboration, and sourcing management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch
- Conduct market research and identify trends, materials, and design opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams on design, prototyping, and product testing
- Manage material sourcing, vendor communication, and cost tracking
- Leverage a strong network of established suppliers to support sourcing needs
- Coordinate with production, marketing, and sales to meet product goals
- Ensure all products meet quality, timeline, and budget standards
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in product development, sourcing, or a related role
- Strong background in R&D, trend analysis, and design collaboration
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Emory, TX
- Experience in fashion, apparel, accessories, or consumer goods is a plus
