About the position
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is undergoing a bold digital transformation - and this is your opportunity to be part of it. As a Head of Product Management within our recently established Digital Office, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of IB’s digital product ecosystem. This isn’t just about managing products - it’s about reimagining how we serve schools, educators, and learners worldwide through digital innovation.
The Digital Office sits at the heart of our product strategy, with end-to-end responsibility for customer-facing products across our existing platforms and new ventures. You’ll join a multidisciplinary, impact-driven team responsible for delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes in a fast-evolving educational landscape.
As a Head of Product Management, you’ll be responsible for a direct deployment of $10-15M annual investment across technology landscape to support our School Operations. You will manage a team of 4 Product Management Senior Specialists to help shape the next generation of tools that support schools on their journey with the IB - from first inquiry through to ongoing engagement. You’ll work across a suite of products that drive school candidacy, marketing automation, sales pipeline management, school authorization and evaluation, educator network workforce management, and customer service. These platforms are foundational to how we grow, support, and empower our network of schools and governing bodies around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
LEADERSHIP
People leadership: Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers. Provide coaching, support and structured growth opportunities to foster both individual career development and team-level excellence.
Organizational development: Contribute to scaling the Digital Office by developing frameworks, processes, and operating rhythms that enable product teams to collaborate effectively and deliver impact at scale.
Culture and engagement: Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-trust culture across the department. Lead by example, promoting collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
Strategic alignment: Act as a critical link between senior leadership and product teams—ensuring team efforts align with departmental goals and broader organizational objectives.
Digital enablement: Inspire digital-first thinking across the organization. Equip your team and partners with the knowledge and confidence to embrace digital transformation and new technologies.
Guide product managers in setting vision, priorities, and measurable goals—helping them translate insights into impactful initiatives aligned with organizational strategy.
Oversee execution quality across your portfolio—ensuring delivery teams have the clarity, resources, and support needed to succeed.
Foster strong relationships between Product, Engineering, Design, and Business stakeholders—resolving blockers, surfacing risks early, and creating an environment of shared ownership.
Support continuous improvement by introducing and evolving best practices across product discovery, delivery, and measurement.
Monitor team health, performance, and workload, making adjustments to balance ambition with sustainable pace and wellbeing.
Champion user needs and business goals by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization—aligning around shared priorities and delivering impactful outcomes.
Drive product strategy and roadmap alignment across your portfolio—making smart trade-offs, setting clear priorities, maximizing both product performance and return on investment, and managing stakeholder communications.
Translate vision into action by developing clear, actionable product requirements and communicating them effectively across teams and leadership levels.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX Design and Core Business Partners to build and launch solutions that are technically sound, beautifully designed, and deeply valuable to users.
Embed a customer-centric mindset by driving early and continuous feedback loops, grounding decisions in data, and designing for end-to-end journeys that truly serve our global users.
Continuously monitor the education and edtech landscape, staying ahead of competitor moves, emerging technologies, and shifting user expectations to keep our products relevant and future-ready.
Job Requirements:
About You
You are an experienced team leader who thrives on growing and enabling others. You’ve successfully managed and scaled high-quality products and cross-functional teams, fostering trust, autonomy and shared purpose.
You have directly contributed to the planning of strategic product initiatives and managed a team during the implementation.
If you possess an MBA qualification (or similar at equivalent level), that would be advantageous but not essential for success in your application.
You bring proven experience in Salesforce product management, ideally in enterprise B2B or B2B2C environments where stakeholder complexity and scale are key considerations. You’ll have an understanding of Salesforce’s core products (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
You’re fluent in agile, iterative delivery, with the flexibility to adapt process to context—balancing discovery with execution to deliver meaningful outcomes.
You have a track record of building trusted partnerships with cross-functional leaders—not just collaborating with teams, but aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and enabling your team to deliver high-impact outcomes across Engineering, UX, and the business.
You guide your team to be data-informed and insight-driven—coaching them to analyze usage patterns, interpret research, and incorporate market trends into decision-making and prioritization.
You actively foster psychological safety, trust, and inclusion—creating an environment where your team feels empowered to take risks, share ideas, and perform at their best.
You are a generous leader and mentor, committed to growing others through coaching, feedback, and by modeling values-led leadership. You shape and scale a healthy product culture grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and shared success.
You stay informed on trends, technologies, and innovations in educational technology, and use this knowledge to guide and inspire your team’s thinking and strategic direction.
